International Calling Instructions
The international calling instructions below may vary from country to country and from city to city within a country. Most times you make calls two ways for international calls. You may dial directly or use an operator. If you choose to dial directly, below are standard ways.
011 + country code + city code + phone number
For example, to call someone in Paris, France you would dial the following number:
011 + 331 + 3 + XXXX-XXXX
Note: The actual number of digits for each category can vary by country or city.
If you use an operator, dial:
01 + country code + city code + phone number
Note: Operator assisted calls are ‘The’ most expensive call billed today.
Calls placed “off-shore” to Puerto Rico, the Caribbean, Hawaii and even Canada are charged at international rates. You still dial these calls by using
1 + the area code + the phone number.
